Devon Walking Weekender | May 2020

Following the success of the last two Walking Weekender we are returning to the Wild Pear Centre in Combe Martin for another weekend of coastal climbs and wooded walks.

We’ll arrive on the Friday, late afternoon, when we can explore the local beach and have a healthy cooked meal before watching the sun set over the bay.

On Saturday, after breakfast, we’ll meet our guide and walk until lunchtime before stopping at a pub for lunch and then continuing our travels until late afternoon. This day will be perfect training for anyone wanting to get back into fitness, spend more time outside, take photos or just be at one with nature. Once back at the Wild Pear we’ll be able to stretch, relax and have dinner before mooching off to the beach again to close the day.

Sunday will see us back on our feet and, unguided this time, walk for most of the morning before coming back for lunch before we prepare to head home.

This is a very outdoorsy weekend. Whatever the weather we will be walking. We spend very little time at the Wild Pear and make the most of the stunning scenery and walking opportunities.

It is suitable for someone with a modest level of fitness. There will be coastal climbs and descents on grass, gravel and pathways. If you like taking photos you’ll love it! If you want to get away from it all, you’ll feel renewed and if you just like the North Devon coastline you won’t be disappointed.

There is a limited number of twin rooms for sharing, with a supplement, (no single room option) please ask for more details.

The price of £275+VAT (£330) includes all accommodation, meals, snacks and local guide. It doesn’t include your parking in the local car parks of about £5 per day.
