You couldn’t make it up could you?
Monday morning I was driving to my first early morning session since restrictions were lifted … in snow.
We did the session … in the snow.
I drove home in the snow!
By mid-afternoon it was glorious and spring-like. I really bloody love weather for all it’s versions and varieties.
It has however shown quite how keen some campers are on getting back outside now that we can.
We had 7 trusty campers, some in shorts!, come out to play that morning. It was a slushy, damp and blurry affair – but the session was a success in spite of the weirdness of the weather.
It made me think about what I would do regardless now that the rules are being eased.
The thing that I have looked forward to so much that I would do regardless of snow or rain or distance or time.
I couldn’t come up with anything!
I have become quite at peace with it all. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to be able to drive up to Fleetwood to see my Dad or visit my girls in Leeds and Manchester. But I wasn’t rushing to sit outside a pub this week or queuing outside shops to have a plod.
And then I remembered…
Yes, that’s what I have moaned about the most! And yes, I was one of the lucky ones at the front of the queue on Monday for a 09.30 snip!
It feels good to feel like me again and yes, I would have driven through the snow for that!
So what about you?
What has become something that you value so much now, that you’d do most things to get it?
And also, what are you taking from lockdown into your new, less restricted life that you didn’t even consider before?
Our Sunday Wake Up! campers are enjoying the return to combined sessions. I offer an in-person and a broadcast one each week at 9am.
Sunday sessions have been a firm favourite of mine for a long time and it’s still a favourite with the two groups joining us simultaneously as they can both feel part of the other groups energy.
- If you’re looking to dip a toe into the waters of exercise after a long period of abstinence rest assured that I will look after you.
- If you are looking for something that’s not inside just yet but want to get back to it now, I can make that happen.
- And if you just want to be with other people and, like Dave, one my campers, say “I’ve not been with this many people in one place for months!” then, I am sure I can help you there too!
I am limited to 29 people at the in person sessions and so I do need you to pre-book. The Zoom session is convenient if you don’t have time to make the trip, don’t live locally, don’t want to get out yet or just like working out in your garden!
