Whee! It’s Friday already after that double whammy of two short work weeks!
How did you enjoy your weekend? I hope if you’d planned to see family and friends that you were able to and, if you’d chosen to spring-clean or redecorate or just chill out, you did that too. Wasn’t the weather just fab?!
It felt like there was an expectation around this weekend for many people.
The excitement of something to look forward to with other people, that wasn’t a walk or a Zoom call was palpable. In our Fit Camp community it was about getting back outside and face to face at our Easter Big Out, Out comeback.
And boy did they play well!
We had a full house on Good Friday with our maximum allowed of 29 campers. A hardy 17 on Saturday, 25 on Saturday and 24 on Sunday with an additional bevvy of Zoomers joining us too.
The energy was high, the chatting was lovely to hear and, even our Zoomers enjoyed hearing the outdoor workout noises of others from their gardens rather than my dulcet tones booming out at them.
Feedback so far has been from “fantastic to be back!”, “I work harder in a group than I do in my garden” and “you’re much tougher in person than online” (I am not quite sure how to take that last one!)
Anyway, we’re delighted to be back and have continued that this week as we stagger a slow and steady return to a more outdoor timetable.
Over the last 12 months I’ve been incredibly lucky that I’ve been able to keep my business running. It may not be quite how I like it, but it’s been a viable and good short term solution to get us back to outside, which is after all, where we do our best work.
Other industries have been less fortunate and some just haven’t had the opportunity to go online because so much of the experience or service is lost in the technology.
One of these is one of FastTrack Fit Camp’s key collaboration partners, the House of Colour’s Reading consultant, Linda Sujeewon.
So given that things are looking up for more of us now I want to introduce you to Linda.
Linda is an exceptionally talented personal stylist. Over the last 12 months she’s not been able to show her true colours (pun intended) which is helping her clients to both look and feel fabulous.
Having a colour consultation is a great way to learn what makes people say “wow, you look amazing”, when you’ve just popped something on to nip to the shops.
Having a colour consultation makes you look younger, slimmer and like you’ve slept well without a jump jack, a lettuce leaf or a memory foam mattress in sight.
And having a colour consultation means no more disaster purchases that sit in your wardrobe for years.
I’ve used her recently for colour and style work and it was pretty much life changing.
I went from wearing only workout gear and not wanting to go shopping. To enjoying knowing what to look for, only making good purchases and getting those ‘wow’ compliments.
If you are ready to re-emerge from lockdown. If you are experiencing a wardrobe meltdown, or if you are worried about going back to the office post-lockdown – a colour analysis could be the answer. It makes getting dressed easy, shopping a breeze and you’ll save money in the process.
What’s more it really does start immediately as you’ll look and feel amazing leaving Linda’s studio full of confidence.
Like all of us in the personal service industries, Linda has put Covid protection procedures in place to ensure the safety of both of you. She wants you to really enjoy your visit and feel at ease in her studio. So when she reopens next week you can rest assured that she’s complied with safe beauty standards and taken extra courses to create a safe environment.
Taking the time to have a colour consultation will be one of the best investments you can make. To encourage you to consider doing so, I have agreed with Linda, that any reader who books a colour or style consultation on the back of this email will also get a complimentary 30 minute follow up call to make sure that what you’ve learned you are using.
This is a fantastic offer and one I’d wished I’d done 30 years ago when I first had my colours ‘done’ and never looked at them again. It was in meeting Linda that I’ve rediscovered them and run with it.
You can find Linda here, don’t forget to mention that you’re coming via Friday with Heidi to get the extra follow up.

As we start to get ourselves back outside and enjoying some more freedoms, let’s also help some of our other local, independent businesses get back to doing what they do best too – as they help us to do the same.
Have a fabulous week and speak soon!
