Friday with Heidi: Transformers…
Hello to you!
It’s been an interesting week.
I’ve had my elder daughter here for her first trip out of Leeds since lockdown.
I’ve experienced the uncertainty of a broadband connection in a world that now depends on it.
And I’ve been gifted rhubarb. And I do rather love the pink stripeyness of this tangy fruit.
But the most constant theme this week has been the ongoing delight with our Metabolic Balance clients as they make progress through their individual nutrition plans.
The beauty of this programme (for me) is that it’s proof perfect that no one plan suits all. No one approach heals all and no one food can be considered healthy without context.
Our current Metabolic Balancers have menu plans that range from:
- 1 egg a week to 8 eggs a week.
- To no cows dairy, but copious sheep’s and goats cheeses.
- Or no onions but leeks, or tomatoes and no peppers.
- Some smoked fish, but no cured meat.
It’s this individuality that gets me excited.
When I see such a diverse range of plans I know that each one will get truly great results.
Here’s some of the feedback I’ve had this week:
“...it’s not one week yet and my blood pressure has gone from 166/120 to 109/82” (7 days in)
“I’ve lost 5kg I am so happy! Thank you for introducing me to this way of life when it comes to eating” (14 days in)
“MASSIVE WIN today! I have had migraines 2-4 days worth every monthly cycle that I medicate for. Two days ago I woke up to a slight fog in my head, yesterday fuzzy head, both normally signs of a bad migraine and today the same. They didn’t develop at all and this is just amazing! I never anticipated this to be impacted so quickly but am super happy!” (14 days in)
“I don’t need to sleep so much anymore”
“A big positive for me is fitting into clothes I haven’t worn for years and a few friends asking where I got a top from. It’s so nice to say it’s really old but just hasn’t been worn for years but now finally fits again” (5 months since starting)
“Woah! Just got on the scales…according to mine I’ve lost 11lbs!” (10 days in)
“Feeling just better in general. I definitely feel brighter and more energetic. Hubby said I seem happier!” (7 days in)
And there’s more about aches and pains disappearing, sleep improving, constipation improving, skin getting smoother, stubborn fat reducing from thighs and hips where previously it hasn’t…
And all of these transformations from completely different plans because we’re all completely different.
If you’re struggling with health issues, hormonal issues, weight management, energy levels or feeling over medicated and out of control please come along to my free event on Tuesday next week.
I’ll be hosting a free, online event to talk about Metabolic Balance – how it works, who it helps and give you a chance to talk to some of our happy clients using the programme or now living with the results and how they manage their routine.

With regards to the rhubarb…I am looking forward to making this cake / dessert soon with some of the sticks I’ve been given. It’s a lovely recipe…
You can find it here.
Finally this week, no sunrises or sunsets for you, just some cheeky gnome bums from a local garden centre that I saw when I ventured to destinations new that wasn’t a supermarket for the first time in months.
