Friday with Heidi: 24 Hour Success for Men’s Health Week…
It’s Men’s Health Week all week and, for us here at FastTrack Fit Camp, it started with a bang last Friday when we ran our first 24 Hour (Virtual) Fit Camp charity event.
The plan was to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK whilst hosting 24 x 45 minute fitness sessions on Zoom from 19.00 on Friday.
- I wasn’t worried that we couldn’t do it.
- I wasn’t too worried about technology letting me down.
- I just hoped people would turn up to every session throughout the day and night.
Oh how they delivered!
All 24 sessions were attended by at least 3 people (that was the 4am and 5am ones!) but at times we had in excess of 40 people working out in their gardens, conservatories and living rooms all trying something new and doing something worthy.
It was fabulous to have a truly community feel in a virtual world.
I was also utterly staggered by the fund-raising. We’re currently at £3570.00 which has really left me quite humbled by the generosity of our clients and community (you can still donate by clicking this link!)
- If you were part of the event – thank you!
- If you donated – thank you!
- If you ran one or more of the 15 different sessions we offered that day – thank you!
Before the event I spoke about it being our one and only…
Many of our Fit Camper have heard me say this before…who knows, there may well be another!
This week is Men’s Health Week and I encourage you to do what’s necessary when it comes to looking after your health.
I feel these two testimonials from both Albert and Julian sum it up beautifully.
For the first time in, maybe 8 years, we have nothing planned in our calendar.
No Fitness Weekenders, no walking or fitness challenges and no charity bashes…
So my recommendation to you would be to join us, this Sunday, at 9am for our Sunday Wake Up session on Zoom for free, before we introduce a nominal membership fee for Sunday only participants in July.
Grab it while you still can, just for the thrill of it!
