What do you really want out of your life?
When answering this question this week I was challenged by my coach to go a few more stages deeper.
- Why do you want (the thing)?
- Why do you want that (the answer to question 1)?
- And…why is that important?
I’d suggest that for most people the reason they do most things is, at it’s very basic level, to be loved. They may say to be liked, respected or admired, but I think that ultimately it comes down to being truly loved for who you are and what you do, offer, give, express and how you live your life.
This week I decided to re-evaluate my personal values (FastTrack Fit Camp’s are here). I looked at what I need to have in place to feel that pull towards a goal rather than pushing towards it.
I was working on my life’s purpose, have mulled over the concept of having a life vision and then, to give me some direction, thought about how that contributes. After all what is our contribution to this world whilst we’re in it?
And then on Monday, unexpectedly and without warning, my Mum sent me this beautiful poem. And I saw that it’s true, all we really want is to love and be loved. And that really is our biggest and most important contribution.
I think it’s beautiful and very moving.
I hope you do too.
Two things to share with you this week!
I am running an information evening on Zoom next Thursday 11 June at 20.00 on Metabolic Balance.
It will cover what this fabulous programme is all about, how it works and who it helps best. It’s a free event and will last between 45 – 60 minutes. To join us you can find it on the Facebook event or drop me an email and I’ll send you the link next week.
If you want to lose weight, improve a health condition, improve menopause symptoms, balance hormones or reduce medication then this is for you.
Then next Friday 12 June at 7pm we are starting our 24 hour (Virtual) Fit Camp!
Eek! Get the coffee on, up the strength! We’ve got a marathon run of 24 x 45 minute sessions to get through (all as varied as the instructors!) raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.
