Friday with Heidi: 99 red balloons? 99 problems? 99 flake?
Hello Lockdowners…
How are you this week?
Friday with Heidi is inspired and written based on the conversations, meetings and observations I’ve made in my life in the 7 days or so before I write the blog.
Given that most conversations I am having at the moment are about *this*. This moment, this situation, this weird old April in 2020, I wondered where I was going to find something to talk about this week.
And then I remembered…99.
99 was my magic and most favourite number last week.
On Sunday at 9am last week I achieved a goal that I thought would be nice to achieve in the next week or so. To max out my Zoom account audience at our freebie Virtually There: Sunday Wake Up session.
My Zoom account has 99 spaces for people to connect. The first few weeks we’d had 50/70 people log in on a Sunday and I just thought it would be fun to see if we could bust it!
I asked on Facebook if they could help, and my word the community delivered! It was such a grand feeling to see families in gardens, couples in kitchens and brothers and sisters working out in conservatories and parks.
If there was a way for online fitness to feel like a group experience I think we did a pretty good job! Name checking clients in Mortimer when their friends were in Chichester. Shout outs to couples in Germany and Geneva and letting clients know that their adult children were working out too, albeit in another county all made it feel like we were all in it together!
As soon as the session had finished I had this fabulous email from one of our clients. I think it sums it up so well,
“Well done on mobilising us all this morning. It was amazing to be part of it. It was lovely to hear all the name shout outs – I heard names of a few friends I didn’t know did Fit Camp. You smiled pretty much all the way through, so it was obvious how much it meant to you. Well done again!”

Because we had a raft of disappointed people who were unable to get on I’ve decided to upgrade my Zoom account to the next audience size. The jump from 99 is pretty big…my next goal it seems is 500!
So…wanna join me?!
