Friday with Heidi: Wet, wild and still outside…
This week I’ve witnessed monsoon winds, horizontal rain and bright blue skies!
It’s at this time of year that I wonder if Spring will ever arrive.
I love weather in all it’s forms but I am ready for some bluer skies and drier grounds right now.
We’ve spent since November in the damp, dark mornings and evenings battling with flying mats, avoiding puddles and navigating multiple layers to regulate temperature.
But, and here’s the important thing, we’ve had our clients turn up in storm Ciara and Dennis and get stuck in.
Our clients love a bit of weather too, but they also love to feel good from a workout and so they turn out regardless.
They love their schedule of Fit Camp sessions to manage their stress, clear their heads and do something for them they know is going to benefit them.
This approach gives them the consistency to their results and progress.
It provides them with a foundation for their health and wellbeing that they can build on with food choices, self care and contribution.
Everyone at Fit Camp contributes to our Social Enterprise efforts in some way.
- We plant a tree for every brand new member or annual paid in full membership.
- We donate 50% of all profits to community environmental projects.
- We donate £5 to a water charity in Malawi for every Metabolic Balance client we take on.
- We donate all Amazon royalties for my book to a Cambodian project for spectacles for adults.
- We choose a charity or project for all our events to donate a proportion of our profits to.
- And of course we collect trainers still!
This Saturday our trainer collection bins will be at the Foxes Den Cafe, Binfield all day as there is a pop up market on at the centre. Their Facebook event is here. If you have old trainers you’d like to donate, please do pop them along. They can be any condition and any size.
So my question to you this week is how is the weather affecting your attitude to your eating? exercise and sleeping?
Is it good, bad or amazing?
Are you on it, off it or so far from it to be out of sight?
Are you too looking forward to some warmer days, longer nights and salad? 🙂
Do come and join us this Sunday at 9am at Bearwood Recreation Ground, Winnersh for our Sunday Wake Up! session. Rain or shine, wind or monsoon, I’ll be there, our trusty campers will be there and we hope you will be too!
Have a great weekend.
