I have a brooding loathing of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
To my mind Black Friday encourages overspending, mindless spending, excess, FOMO, materialism and then the knock on effect of waste, rejected, but usable, items within this fast and loose disposable culture.
What bothers me more though is that any one of these things can be a seed of discomfort for someone that manifests into a way of behaving that is unhealthy. And at FastTrack Fit Camp we want you to focus on true health, true wellness, true vitality and this comes from feeling congruent in all areas of our life.
- If you are in debt and worrying about money – you can’t be truly well.
- If you have anxiety about the state of the planet – you’ll never be truly vital.
- And if you think that missing the ‘best deal’ is worth the stress of making sure you get it, you’ll struggle to get peace in your life.
This Black Friday FastTrack Fit Camp won’t be offering you ‘a deal’. I already believe that what we offer is exceptionally good value – we don’t need to cut our costs to validate it. I also don’t want to encourage spending on ‘a deal’ that won’t be used. That’s a waste we can all do without.
This Black Friday I am encouraging you to #OptOutside.
Take a day unplugged, away from websites and away from the shops luring you in.
Take a day to get outside and just enjoy being with nature. From here you can improve your health way more than inside a website shopping cart.
Go for a walk, climb trees, feed the ducks, watch the sun set, skim stones, stand at the top of a hill. Experience a day without spending.
If you want to try us out out as part of that, you can, but we won’t benefit financially. If you join us on Friday we’ll donate your attendance fee to our Social Enterprise fund so that we can improve our outside spaces for more #OptOutside experiences that everyone can enjoy.
Whether you are a current member, a returning member or someone who just wants to see what we do please come to any of these sessions this Friday and we’ll make sure that your session fee goes to the Social Enterprise fund where we can plant more trees, clean more spaces or do good for our local community.
Think differently, act boldly, be a wellness rebel.
