I hope your week has been productive and you’ve made steps towards any health and fitness goals you may have set yourself. Despite us nearing the end of October it’s still a tad too early to start ‘putting it off’ until after Christmas as I’ve heard some say this week!
Introducing a daily habit of moving and adding more veg onto your plate can only be a good thing and will definitely improve how you look and feel about yourself.
Last Sunday I kind of helped that…we hosted a Charity Fund Raising camp for Thames Valley Hospice. It was a well turned out event and we had people moving that morning to improve how they felt. Because it was a charity day I decided to make some flapjacks for after the event too- so any good was almost certainly immediately undone! More veg, more veg… 🙂
That being said, they were very popular with campers of all sizes as you can see!
Thank you to everyone who came along, we’ve raised over £220 so far which is wonderful.
On Wednesday we announced our new ‘Weekender’ offering for 2020. We are trying something new next year. After feedback about not being able to stay away overnight and also having something closer to home, I am delighted that we’re able to offer our first Wellness Rebellion event on Saturday 29 February in Fleet.
This one day event, will provide all the best bits of the full Weekender experience, without the overnight stay and drive. We’ll have outdoor exercise (of course!), workshops, home made meals, new exercise challenges, talks and opportunities to meet some new people. Places are limited and we’ll be sharing more details over the next week or so.
Those wanting to be kept up to date with this event can register their interest with Rowena at email@example.com and we’ll let you know when booking is open.
It’s a perfect opportunity to try some new exercise, learn something new and then go home and put it all into practice!
Our Happiest Year Yet Event is now open for booking, the Early Bird price is valid until our 10th birthday on 16 November, so if you’d like to grab a place for that you can do so HERE. This is going to be a packed afternoon of fascinating health and wellbeing talks that will give you some insight into how you work, how you can work better and what kind of results you can expect. It’s going to be fabulous!
Finally, last night I had the pleasure of attending the Against Breast Cancer Award night in Reading. I’d been nominated in the Company of the Year category for our corporate social responsibility efforts. It wasn’t our night with the award going to a company called Links 2 Leads owned and run by Rachel Tombs, we had a nice evening, listened to some heart wrenching stories and managed to get a selfie in the selfie booth!
So there you have it! Short and sweet this week!
Have a great week – and don’t forget to turn your clocks back this weekend! Maybe I’ll get to catch a sunrise again for a week or so?!
Until then this is the best I could do this week from Henley camp on Wednesday!
