Clean, Green Fit Camp | 20 September 2019
Our weekly update on all things Social Enterprise related.
Trainers
They’re still coming and I am still collecting trainers and shoes for repurposing or recycling. All you need to do is get them to me some way.
I’ve 7 large bags to be collected and no one has turned up to collect them yet!
THANK YOU! Please continue to bring them to us.
Flowers
BeeBombs have been distributed this week as thank you presents and give-aways to our Fido Fit Camp ladies, people who have booked me to speak and Facebook competition winners.
Litter
I launched our 100 Day Fitness Litter Picking Challenge. Full details here. Please join us wherever you are. You can make a difference – we start on Monday for the last 100 days of 2019, but we also have a #FitterLitterPickers morning at Bearwood Recreation Ground Winnersh on Sunday 22 September at 9.45am if you wish to join us.
Social Enterprise
I spoke at the Reading Entrepreneurs event last week to share how small steps towards Social Enterprise make up to big results.
We were nominated and moved to the final three of the Against Breast Cancer Achievement award for Company of the Year for our CSR effort.
We’ve been granted a Silver Accreditation from CSR Accreditation this week for our contributions to date.
I am talking at the Greener Wokingham event on Wednesday 25 September to talk all things Social Enterprise too.
Trees
Planting at Shinfield Primary School and Windmill Primary School will take place in November. We’re all excited about sourcing and planting Monkey Puzzle and fruit trees on both sites.
FastTrack Fit Camp is an outdoor fitness business with the focus on improving people on the inside so they feel good on the outside. In 2019 FastTrack Fit Camp became a Social Enterprise and committed to distribute a minimum of 50% of profits back to community environmental projects each year with the goal of helping our local citizens feel good whilst being outside too.
