I find the week after August Bank Holiday one of slightly heightened activity.
It’s like I am still in ‘back to school’ mode with my two girls and I feel the scurry necessary to get back to normal.
I don’t know what I’ve been doing differently.
We haven’t been away, I haven’t got kids to get ready for school and I don’t feel like my exercise and food routine has changed, but with September looming and summer fading it’s time to put my house in order.
Putting my house in order actually means scheduling my time for the rest of the year.
September is a key month for people, like you, to get into a routine for health and fitness. I know that I need to look after myself to be able to look after them.
If I don’t plan my time and schedule I’ll take on more stuff that I can’t fit in. Or I’ll say yes to things that don’t match what I want to do with the business and Social Enterprise activities.
So you can imagine that I was a bit staggered when I realised, after dumping the things down into a journal, that I’d already done both both these things!
This means that more than ever I must be mindful of putting my needs first before committing to anything else.
Consider that this weekend’s job!
