Friday with Heidi: Keeping it real…
Woo hoo! It’s Friday.
I’m not normally someone who looks forward to the end of the week, but this week has been one of some wacky emotions, thoughts and random rib problem that frankly I’ll be glad to leave behind!
I’d even got to the point of questioning sides to me which I know to be true, but doubting them in the face of some of these situations.
Take the rib for example. I had a mild sense of something-not-right on my right side on Wednesday. My first thought was “I think this is a rib“. As the day wore on and the something-not-right lingered I started to to question it, ‘who do you think you are to know your body that well?‘ – ‘why would it be your rib?‘ – ‘it’s probably trapped wind‘ (isn’t that just a mum thing to say?!)
Anyway, I popped along to chiro-Kelly who I’ve been seeing for about 16 months and asked her to have a prod to put my mind at rest.
It is, now we know for sure, some rib misalignment. It’s damn tender when manipulated and I have no idea what I’ve done! However my point is, I knew.
I do know me best. And it all works best when I keep it real.
This week I’ve been speaking with some our clients and asking them to keep it real too.
I’ve been sharing with our social media community some of the inspiring stories from some of our members in their sixties.
I love their honesty, how they’ve kept it real and relevant and totally them.
Here’s two of the stories we’ve shared so far.
Eamon from Swallowfield camp and Janet from Henley camp. Both in their sixties, both exercising regularly with us at Fit Camp which is giving them more life to the lives they want to live.
Read about them here.
If you’ve been reading Friday with Heidi and our social media pages for a while you may be thinking that you’d love to give FastTrack Fit Camp a go.
You might have the voice, like I had, suggesting that you’re too old, too short of time, too out of shape, too ( fill in the blanks ) to come and see.
I challenge you to keep it real this Autumn.
September is the new January and this is especially so in the fitness industry. Getting your foot in the door now means that you’ll be ahead of the game before the September returners join us.
If you’ve never been to Fit Camp before you can get a free week’s trial by clicking this link.
If you’ve been before and want to find out what’s new before committing please email me by replying to this email and I’ll get back to you today or over the weekend.
Be true to yourself, keep it real and reap the rewards like Eamon and Janet. See you soon!

Social Enterprise update
Trainers: Nearly at another 4 bags full of trainers. This will bring our total to 6 that we’ve kept out of landfill, thank you! Keep them coming please.
Flowers: Those who bought BeeBombs from us are already seeing the rewards of their seeds. Flowers and bees appearing on mine and those of our clients who chucked them on the ground earlier this summer.
Trees: Exciting news with regards to tree planting! I have a place (a school in the Wokingham borough) and I have someone who knows about trees to help source and advise on planting. I can’t tell you how excited I am about this, probably more than my clients who they will be dedicated to, but I don’t care. Keeping it real.
Food Waste: How is you food waste? Are you good at using all you buy? Do you have half empty jars of stuff that you throw out? No need. Get creative and follow our weekly blog – Waste Not Wednesday
