I hope you’ve had a fabulous short week and looking forward to the weekend.
It’s Mr Strickers birthday this weekend and I’ve been working out what to do for a man I’ve known for over half my life. Like Baldrick I have a cunning plan, and given that Mr S occasionally reads these missives I am going to leave that there for now…
This week I want to share with you something very exciting and important to me and how I run FastTrack Fit Camp.
Last night on our Members Page on Facebook I did a live announcement on changes that I’ve made to how we’re now trading at FastTrack Fit Camp in light of a realisation/ idea I had at Easter.
I’ve been keeping it quiet for a while as I put the bits into place behind the scenes…with my local heroes in fact!
The full video is here and is 17 minutes long.
Some of you have known me for a long time and seen the peaks and troughs of FastTrack Fit Camp. If you are new to Fit Camp it’s worth noting that I never thought I’d run a business, let alone one that’s run for 10 years. During this time I’ve had the highest highs and some pretty dark lows as I’ve navigated through learning what it takes to run a business when all I’d originally really wanted to do was help people stay healthy.
During that time I’ve had multiple coaches, mentors and advisory peeps encouraging me to plan for 3, 5 and 10 years hence and I’ve always struggled with finding the impetus for 6 months.
Since my revelation at Easter I can see clearly what needs doing and how I am going to achieve it. I tell you dear readers, I do love a purpose and I am ready to take it on!
So this week I’d love for you to listen in to what’s changed at FastTrack and how we’re leading the way to make a deliberate and conscious change to how we do business to impact the communities we do business in.
I’d also invite you to join me at our Summer Solstice event on Friday 21 June where I share with you the steps that got me to this place. What’s woken me up from a space that I thought was good enough to this new exciting purpose led place.
During the event I’ll be sharing what’s stopping you from getting the weight loss, fitness or health improvements you long for. And it has nothing to do with exercise or water or sleep.
I’ll take you through some exercises to wake you up to what’s possible and then remind you how to choose what to focus first.
My goal for you is that walk away feeling excited, purposeful and ready to take a stand for whatever you stand for.
At this event I am delighted that we’ll also have local sustainable and environmental suppliers that share our values and beliefs on the environment and how to live healthily.
You can book your place here and I’d highly encourage you to bring someone with you as it will be really useful to have a friend who knows you that you can share some of the work with during the event (all seated and paper based! Not a press up to be seen!).
So there we are.
We’ve changed but we’re the same outdoor group fitness business.
We’ve taken responsibility but we’re giving back more to our communities.
We’re showing how business needs to lead the way in the changes required to make a difference to our planet. I hope you will join us so we can do more.
I’d welcome your comments on our changes. You can email us, chat to us on Facebook or visit me at one of our pay-as-you-go sessions on a Friday or Sunday to let me know your thoughts.
