Friday with Heidi: 11 go to Devon…
This time last week I was knee deep in granola and Nordic Walking poles as I prepared for the Devon Walking Weekender in Combe Martin.
Oh what a fabulous time we had!
Eleven ladies and my colleague Debbie all headed off to the north coast of Devon for what, we hoped, would be a dry and sunny weekend.
I really couldn’t have planned it any better.
We had fabulous sun sets, blue skies and sun to walk under on both days and just stunning views.
I always ask our Weekender guests what they hope to get out of the weekend and all of them said it gave them that and more so.
- Some just needed to sleep more.
- Some needed to get outside and away from their office walls.
- Others needed to experience new surroundings on their own.
- Some wanted to make new contacts.
All of them got this and more. Much more.
As you’d expect with that level of enjoyment and feedback I have already decided to run at least one walking event next year. It will be in May and so if you want to join us keep watching the Friday with Heidi blogs each week as details are announced.
As I sit here writing this on Thursday night I am looking at the sky out of my office window. It’s almost a full moon and, because I think I am part werewolf, I’m rather pleased that this month’s full moon falls on my birthday this Saturday.
I don’t know what it is about the sky and being outside, but I am a bit of an addict when it comes to these things. So when you ask me what I’ll be doing for my birthday this weekend, I’ll be moon-gazing 🙂
This birthday will have me heading into my fiftieth year and I plan to make it one to remember.
As such I’d love it if you would join us at our Summer Solstice event on Friday 21 June at 19.00 – 21.00 at Wokingham Cricket Club.
I’ll share with you how to get your mojo for some new challenges in 2019 and share with you some of mine. If you’re feeling a bit at a loss since the New Year and want something new to get your heart and soul into, please do join me. We’ll talk health, happiness, wealth and success and what you need to do to move things along.
We have local suppliers at the event sharing their sustainable and local services and products. It’s going to be a great event and you’re going to be able to finish the year feeling accomplished and happy.

Finally this week I am DELIGHTED to let you know that we received enough nominations to go through to the final of the Muddy Stilettos Awards this year. This means that we now need to ask you again to vote. All previous nominations are scrapped and voting starts again until Wednesday next week.
I’d be really grateful if you could vote for us in the Fitness Instructor category. I have two big community projects on this year and I feel an award would be an excellent vehicle to help deliver them more successfully.
If you feel you can vote for us, please do here on this link before Wednesday – THANK YOU!
