Friday with Heidi: A sprinkle of positivity…
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments and posts last week about FastTrack’s 9th birthday. It was lovely that so many of you decided to write.
Thank you also to those of you who did Google reviews, I have replied to you all separately it saw us boost our reviews to 24, so thank you very much! If you’d wanted to do that and not yet done so you can still do so here.
This week whilst at a network meeting we were asked to pick from a pile of upturned postcards.
I always like to challenge the norm with this and so rifled through and picked one from the middle, not the top.
We were to turn them over and talk about what it meant to us.
Mine was this simply fabby statement “put your positive pants on“. I love it!
Since I’ve been in fitness I’ve made a decision to always be the happy face in front of my classes. Those of us who do what we do, have chosen to be in a profession that works when others rest and it’s beholden on us to make sure that time is pleasant. I’ve had experience of instructors coming in to classes and moaning about their day, their husbands, their kids. Or just working out with a half-arsed approach because they don’t want to be there.
I decided long ago that wasn’t my way. I also decided that when a time came that I no longer was happy to stand in front of a class it was time to move on and within my 10 years of teaching in clubs and gyms around Wokingham I did just that.
So when do you wear your positive pants?
Is it with your kids? You partner? Or when you’re with your mates?
Which situations are just better when you’ve got your game face on and how can you get more of that?
Our event on Saturday 5 January will help you to define this.
For the last 7 years I’ve run the ‘Happiest Year Yet’ event to help people focus on what they want, help them drill down to identify what they need to get it and then challenge them to do it.
This event will be no different, but I’m including some fabulous speakers to help with building health into the happiness factor.
Dr Lindsay Browning is the Sleep Doctor and will be talking about why we need sleep, how much to get, when it’s the best time to sleep and how to deal with sleep problems.
Dr Kelly-Jane McLaughlin from Dynamic Family Chiropractic will be explaining the importance of the brain, nerves and spine to create vitality in our bodies so they work optimally, every day.
Both ladies are fascinating, experience and passionate about their roles, I am so pleased to have them join me.
I’ll be helping you to define what makes a brilliant life and how to go about getting it in 2019.
Tickets are on sale now, we have an early bird price of £15 until 30 November and it will go up to £20 from December.
Imagine having the groundwork in place to have the most brilliant year in 2019. Click the link now so you can forget about remembering!

You can bring a friend or neighbour or colleague, they’ll thank you for the opportunity.
The event is at Hilton St. Anne’s Manor Hotel in Wokingham between 14.00 – 17.30 on Saturday 5 January 2019.
I look forward to seeing you there (dress code: positive pants on!)
I’m off now to think about our FastTrack Fit Camp Christmas party this evening. A collaboration with Karen from Elite Conditioning and a memorable night I am sure.
Have a great week!
“Thank you so much for the Happiest Year Yet talk today. I was already planning to organise and rearrange things but your talk has made a real difference to how I approach the next few months and in a much more positive way.” HS, Lower Earley
