Happy Christmas Eve, Eve, Eve
I used to get so excited saying that as a kid, knowing that Christmas was imminent but still so far away.
Now I’m thinking how quickly it’s approaching and how absolutely rapidly this year has flown by.
I know it’s all relative.
I’ve packed my year full and it’s been a great ride. Thank you so much for supporting me and the business in that. However I have also spoken with many people this year, more than I can ever remember, who have had the most challenging of years. I wish them a rosier and happier 2018, you all deserve better.
Our FastTrack Fit Camp card has been designed by local resident and camper Heidi Sandford again this year. I love her quirkiness, naughtiness and love for drawing and all things arty that leave me slightly envious of her wonderful talent.
She has a fabulous page on Etsy, Facebook and the web. Please check her out and support our micro businesses.
If you didn’t get one I am sorry, I have a cut off point where my hand and head won’t work in unison any more! So please accept our online version instead and have a fabulous break.
Talking of sprouts and food I get asked a lot what we eat, what I drink, ‘do you even eat sugar?’ type questions at this time of year.
It always makes me laugh. I am not a purist and all I want to do is eat well and be healthy. However I think my one token Christmas jumper speaks for me quite simply in all it’s sparkly sequin cheesiness…
“Christmas calories don’t count”
And do you know what…? For Christmas Day I do kind of let that happen. I don’t worry what I eat, drink or how many chocolates I can shove in my mouth whilst watching the telly.
And there is a big but.
I only use that rule for the day itself.
If I let it drift over into Christmas Eve, Boxing Day or the week after I’d be rolling around and lethargic from mince pie belly and a sugar coma.
So there we have it.
Whether you are having one day of food fun or a whole week. Do what makes you happy, keeps you happy and leaves you happy and we’ll all be much better off than trying to be perfect all the time.
If you want to join me this holiday at a Fit Camp please check the timetable out below Heidi’s card. I’d love to meet you and see you there.
Thank you for being part of my weekly Friday habit this year, I do really appreciate it.
Have a great Christmas!
See you on the other side!
