Friday with Heidi: Winding down or revving up?

Another Friday… Don’t they appear rapidly?
With only a few weeks to the end of the year you could be forgiven for thinking that people are slowing down and preparing to hibernate already.
I’ve seen fewer people in camp this week, and already hearing talk of ‘I’ll do it next year’ or ‘there’s no point starting anything now’.
And yet I think this is the best time to start something new.
- It’s quieter! If people are participating less in most things, there is more space for you to try it out.
- It’s a good opportunity to see whether what you want to do is a) going to work and b) something you like.
- You can get ahead of the game. Starting something new now enforces a rhythm and a habit that will be easier to pick up on when the New Year does come. You won’t need to put it off for fear of the unknown, you’ll already have done it.
In FastTrack World we have some clients who have signed up to join us this week, we have people wanting to start a new, healthier way of eating with the Metabolic Balance programme which will take them right through the most glutenous days of the year. And they don’t mind! And we have clients planning their holiday week around our Christmas and New Year timetable.
It’s not just clients either who are embracing the new.
I am trialling a new fitness programme tomorrow to complement my own Fit Camp sessions. Whilst I could have waited until January, when I asked how long it would be before I saw some results and was told 4 weeks… I wanted to start now! I wanted to get that feeling before the end of the year, not wait for the new one.
If you’d like to feel better by Christmas you still can.
Join us at FastTrack Fit Camp for £99 and you’ll get as many sessions as you can fit in before 31 December. In that time you will feel better, be fitter and start to see a change in your shape. Not bad at all in the period when many people put on 10lbs and stop moving!
To take us up on this opportunity to get in before the Christmas calories really catch up with you click this link https://goteamup.com/p/511340-
We’d love to see you!
We’d also love to see you at our annual Let Us Make 2018 Our Happiest Year Yet event on Saturday 6 January from 10:00 to 13:00. All you need to do to reserve your free place is click this link https://hyy2018.eventbrite.co.
We’re already half full within 10 days of opening the event, so please do get your seats reserved if you wish to join us.
Finally, if you are around this Sunday and want to help us raise money for BIBS (Babies in Buscot) charity, the premature baby unit in Reading, please join us in Winnersh (RG41 5DU) for a 9am start. All monies go to the charity.
Whether your winding down or revving up, have a great weekend and I wish you a lovely weekend.
Kind regards
Heidi
