Friday with Heidi: 8 years on…
Thank you!
Thank you for being here.
It was FastTrack Fit Camp’s 8th birthday yesterday and I get very full of gratitude each year that I’ve managed to keep my business going for another 12 months.
It’s akin to having another child and whilst I did a pretty good job of that with the two (now) adult sprogs, I can say that this has been no less of a challenge.
I really do want to thank you in whatever way you’ve had dealings with me and the team. It may be that you read the Friday with Heidi, or you’re an ex-camper, or a current camper or someone who comes to my events or someone who just likes to know we’re here for the one day when you decide we’re for you.
However it is we’re associated, I thank you.
I can’t do this without you, the girls who work for me and the clients who support us. It really is a very nice way to have a career.
Someone asked me this week if I’d have done anything differently with the luxury of hindsight.
Part of me wanted to say yes, I’d have had a business plan and a strategy and a 3, 5 and 10 year goal.
But in reality the answer is no. The absolute pleasure of being where I am now is that it’s because of what I did without all that. And I am very happy with it.
There’s always room for improvement, tweaks and smoothing out processes, but when it comes down to it I ask myself one question ‘do people feel better as a result of what we do?’ and the answer is yes. I can sleep soundly with that.
One of the things we do each year is run an annual New Year event. It’s called ‘Let Us Make 2018 Our Happiest Year Yet‘. It’s free, it’s a chance for you to focus in on your new year and listen to others who’ve had a great 12 months. I know that those who attend love it and come back year after year to get their New Year fix.
You can book your free seat here https://hyy2018.eventbrite.co.uk/ and I encourage you to bring someone who finds January dreary or who always talks about getting stuff done but never quite managing it. You’ll both walk away positive and uplifted.
It’s on Saturday 6 January at 10:00 – 13:00 at the Wokingham Cricket Club and it is my absolute favourite event I do. I’d love to see you there.
Please book your free seat and make sure you don’t miss out. Last year we had over 120 people register!
Have a super weekend and I wish you a relaxing one.
Kind regards
