Friday with Heidi: Contrasts…
It’s been a week of contrasts.
On the one hand Europe swelters in the heat and yet in Blighty we’re drowning in Biblical rain.
One daughter is settled with a new job in New Zealand whilst the other one has started her life as a jobless actress by performing at the Edinburgh Fringe wondering where the next pay day will come from.
And I am torn between the happiness for my dad and his wife who have secured a new house in the Blackpool area and my own feeling of loss at losing him from being so near by.
But that’s what each day brings us.
Something to feel good and happy about amongst the other things to give us pause for thought.
As long as we remember that focusing on the good things that happen to us will leave us feeling good, we’re well on the way to seeing our lives as a nice place to spend some time. When we dwell on the bad we see it less favourably and think everyone and everything is out to get us.
I asked some of our FastTrack Fit Campers why they like us this week and what coming to Fit Camp does for them. It too was a contrast of comments, but in all instances the good that they feel and experience for coming regularly far outweighs any negative of bad feeling for it being a bit tough, a bit wet or a bit early 🙂
Find your happy this week by focusing on the good in each day. It’s there, even if it’s a sunrise or a smile from a stranger or a cup of tea being made for you without asking.
Have a great week…
Pam

Donna
Donna is one of the Romans Property Services team who I train twice a week. She’s been coming along since her manager Sally encouraged her to join in.
Donna hadn’t exercised for a long time and found the first session a challenge. But urged on by Sally came back and has gone from strength to strength, improving her running times amazingly.
She said that Fit Camp has helped her manage stress better, feel better able to concentrate and meet a whole new bunch of work colleagues she wouldn’t have met otherwise.
