Friday with Heidi: I’ve been faffing…
Thank you.
Thank you to all of you who have supported me and FastTrack Fit Camp over the past few weeks with comments about the Venus Awards and latterly the Muddy Stilettos Berkshire awards.
Thank you for nominating and voting, it’s been great! We didn’t the Muddy Stilettos Award this year, but came a very noteworthy second in a tough top three. So thank you for putting your tick in the box on our account. I really appreciate it.
I find it an uncomfortable situation to be in. It’s great to be nominated and yet I don’t like asking for votes, I don’t like to keep asking for votes and I only want to ask people who have genuinely benefited from what I or we do at FastTrack Fit Camp. So getting where we did in those conflicted sections of my mind makes it all very fine with me!
I’ve moved swiftly on.
I set myself a goal this year of getting a book published.
My goal was 1 September. I wrote the basic content very quickly and it was completed in February and then kind of sat on it for waaaay too long. It’s a 12 week process to get from publisher to print and I yet I still only managed to get my manuscript to the publisher yesterday.
I’m both frustrated with myself for being so oomph-less and yet delighted it’s left my computer and gone to hers. I am more nervous about this than I have been about anything for a long time. So it was with some relief that she replied fairly quickly and wrote “I’ve had a quick look – and it’s lovely. I loved the start and wanted to go on reading it.” – phew!
I am not sure if I am going to make my deadline now, but September is still within my sights!
So my challenge to you this week is this.
What have you put off doing for your health, fitness, weight loss, self improvement for no real reason other than being nervous or scared?
Just do it! Don’t wait until after the kids break up, after the holidays or September! Don’t be like me and miss your goal. Strike today. Do something positive and feel so pleased you did the minute it’s done.
Here’s some ideas.
