Friday with Heidi: Weight Loss on Metabolic Balance®

We’ve moved into a new month, into what feels like a new season and with it all the political and global shenanigans that will keep the media busy for some weeks to come.
I decided a long time ago to be much more selective about what news I watched and when. It’s definitely changed my mindset about life. I used to think that everything was awful all the time, but now I appreciate the good stuff too, and choose when to get my news fix.
(Which is why I embarrassed myself on Monday when I had NO idea what the fuss about some football match at Wembley was being discussed at our Wokingham Early Risers session! It’s OK, I’ve been put right about the Reading match now!)
For the last 11 days I’ve been using myself as a guinea pig on a Metabolic Balance® nutritional programme (the course I went on a few weeks ago, read here to find out more).
I always like to try stuff out on me first before I let it loose on clients. I want to know what they’re going to go through, what kind of highs and lows to expect and to see that it works. I’ve chosen to do it for weight loss, not because I was particularly bothered about my weight, but because most clients who come to us are interested in losing some.
Metabolic Balance® is a personal programme. It uses a sample of your blood, these results, your biochemistry, your current state of health and statistics and your goal to work out a personalised health programme for you.
It’s a lifestyle programme. It helps reestablish your metabolism to be better at burning fat and also reducing inflammation in the body. It helps people with weight loss and weight gain but ultimately is a health programme to give you the best chance of improving your health markers for enhanced well-being.
I’ve been doing little videos of my progress along the way you can see them here:
Day One: https://youtu.be/SsLPC6MFNF8?
Day Two: https://youtu.be/OYQ9mOSpn58?
Day Three: https://youtu.be/InIkCwAYml0?
Day Nine: https://youtu.be/94oLZJdarow?
I am coming to the end of the first two weeks. It’s a very important two weeks as it gets your body primed for the new regime. I’ve rather enjoyed it. It’s highly effective (full reveal for 2 weeks results by video on Monday) but so far I am very impressed with my results.
I’ll be running an information session about the programme later this month. It’s normally a 1-2-1 programme, but I want to introduce it to FastTrack Fit Camp as a group programme to help with accountability and long term success for people. This event will explain that in more detail and whether the programme is for you.
I’ll let you know next week when those sessions are.
If you have any questions about it before then, please drop me a line before. I am more than happy to help you out.
This time next week I’ll be just a few hours away from the Thames Valley Venus Awards finals night. It’s been a big part of my year and I am looking forward to the evening. For those of you who have played an active part in making sure I go appropriately dressed you can now stand down! I am now suited and booted and ready for the night. It may not be what you first think of when you see a dress code as ‘full length and fabulous’ but it’s pretty much there 🙂
Don’t ask me what I’m wearing, I have a terrible way of describing outfits that makes them sound quite awful…I am sure there will be pictures.
Have a fabulous weekend, enjoy the videos and see you next week.
