Changes to Mortimer Camp
I hope you are having a nice week. January has certainly given us a selection of weather to train in.
From -5°C last Sunday to back ice on the ground at Winnersh camp yesterday that was just like a rink — it’s certainly been interesting!
I wanted to let you know that with effect from this Friday I have made the tough decision to close the Mortimer Camp. The numbers have been low for a little while and our new leads coming through have all expressed more interest when the mornings are lighter and weather warmer. So, for the interim it will close.
I have contacted the regulars there and they’ll have their last session with Vicki tomorrow. And I want to thank them for their loyalty and commitment. It’s never a nice decision to make but with my business head on it’s a necessary move.
I’d also like to remind you that if you are around on Sunday 29 January at 9am, we’ll be running out first Family Charity Fit Camp for the Thames Hospice at our Winnersh/Sunday Wake Up venue. All monies will go to them and if you do come and could wear green that would be great as I hope to get a nice picture for them.
