Friday with Heidi: What do you think?

Getting Stuff Done with Wokingham Boot Camp
“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t. You’re right.”
I love this quote that’s been attributed to Henry Ford.
How true.
I see it in Fit Camp time and again.
“I’m not fit enough for Fit Camp, I’ll go to the gym first”
“I need to get fit for the gym so I’m coming to camp for a few weeks”
“It’s been a bit easy this week”
“I don’t do full versions, I can’t do them”
“I can’t change, I’m too old”
“I’m never going to be able to do a full press up”
When you think that way, that’s what you’ll get every single time.
What you think is true for you. So how about changing a thought? Setting a new goal, a new vision of you?
Back in August I discovered a new personal / business development course that I wanted to commit to. It was going to be both a financial and time commitment but I decided I really, really, really wanted to do it.
I decided that to get what I wanted I had to make it happen.
I set a goal for the 25 November as the day that I would take off to the coast as a ‘well done you’ present to myself for not only applying for and getting on the programme, but also knowing that all my payments were made and I’d finish the year without that hanging over me.
I booked a day off, told my daughter Sophie (for some accountability) that I would be in Brighton on 25 November and marked it off in my diary.
Then I got to work. I created a test-programme to help people get to the nub of why they cycle their weight and diet results by looking at their values, beliefs and childhood programming. I got busy with creating and running the programme and I kept focussing on 25 November.
On Wednesday this week I paid my final bill.
Today I have a day off.
But then I knew I would, because I’d already thought I could.
If I’ve learned anything from running my own business it is this. Decide what you want, then go and make it happen.
What are you not achieving because of the thoughts you have about it?
How can you change your “I can’t” to “I could”?
What would achieving this do for you?
I’m not off to Brighton today, but more on what happens today in next week’s FWH!
