Friday with Heidi: When will I learn?
It’s been a little while since I got in touch and that’s because I did what I knew I was doing but didn’t stop: I over filled September!
How often do you do that?
Just keep adding and adding stuff in, thinking ‘oh it will be OK — I’ll make it work’, when all you do is think of each bit of ‘stuff’ as something to work towards, tick off and move on, without really getting to experience any of it for what it is before
I did that last month. And it isn’t that I didn’t enjoy any of it. I very much enjoyed it, but I didn’t let any of it sink in and stick before dashing about for the next thing.
This is definitely my thing to work on. I am a work in progress, as are we all!
When my days are like that I let my normal routines go too and this has a knock on effect to how productive and efficient I can be.
If I’m tired – I eat poorly (as in not much), find my attention drifting way more quickly than normal and find reasons to not exercise or do important jobs.
So I am back to feeling like there is some order in my calendar. Am restarting a daily mindfulness routine which works very well for me and getting outside each day with some exercise.
And I am planning November – not to over fill it, but to plan ahead of time some time off, some time to work and some time to start a new business and self development course that will last until July next year (yep, maybe I over filled it again already?!)
November marks FastTrack Fit Camp’s 7th birthday and next week I’ll be sharing with you how you can get involved in our month long birthday celebrations.
One of the wonderful projects from September was our weekend event in the New Forest with 25 campers. We had a fabulous time, kept them busy with 10 activity sessions, 2 workshops, personal fitness challenges and quizzes. We fed them well, had a locally sourced cheese and wine night and had a truly fabulous time.
Our full photo gallery for the weekend is here. Enjoy!
Finally for now and it’s right at the bottom as it’s waaaaay ahead! On Saturday 7 January I will be running our annual ‘Let Us Make 2017 Our Happiest Year Yet‘ event. It’s my favourite event that I do, is free and gives people chance to set their intentions for the year ahead.
You can book your seat and find out more here –> https://hyy2017.eventbrite.co.
And on that note I can see that I am starting to fill January too!
Back to the drawing board 🙂
Have a great weekend.
