Thank you for such a positive response to the last Friday with Heidi. I am very grateful for all your emails and conversations you had with me about it.
It certainly resonated with many of you and I am pleased it spurred some of you on go and make a decision, any decision, to make your life less complicated.
Today I wanted to share with you a story of one of our campers whose progress has been exactly as I like it.
It’s not perfect.
It’s not fast.
It’s life changing.
Jan has been with us since September last year when she came to FastTrack Fit Camp feeling like nothing was going to work for her.
She had tried diet after diet. Slimming group after slimming group and exercise class after exercise class.
She told me that she was the biggest she’d ever been and was past the end of her tether.
She joined our Fit, Lean & Happy programme on Monday 14 September and had her first Fit Camp session on Tuesday 15th.
She so very nearly didn’t come back.
If you ask her how she felt after her first session she’ll tell you that she very nearly told me where I should stick my Fit Camp!
I called her, we spoke and she decided to stay and see what she could do.
Along the way she’s had ups and downs.
She’s fallen off the wagon and got herself back on again.
She’s had amazing weeks.
She’s had weeks when she’s beaten herself up over insignificant blips .
And she’s told me on more than one occasion that “nothing is changing”.
And then we meet and we have a chat and we do our FastTrack measuring and weighing and we discover that she IS changing, that she HAS lost inches and HAS dropped 33 fat pounds and we rationalise that she is way fitter, nimbler, quicker and happier than she ever was back in September.
Here’s her before and after photos to date. You decide….
Jan’s outlook has completely changed.
She used to focus purely on the scales as her measure of success.
Her new focus is on how she feels and what she can do.
She’s part of a FastTrack Fit Camp Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in June this year. She laughed at me when I suggested she do it. And now here she is doing it.
I love it.
I can tell you until you stop listening that measuring your success by the scales alone is a dead cert to unhappiness.
But take it from Jan, it’s so much more freeing and liberating when you focus on health and happiness.
It works every single time 🙂
Have a fabulous weekend.
