Have you seen the advert for The Museum of Procrastination? (click to view it)
It’s from HSBC (I had to look that bit up) but all I remember is the room of unused gym memberships.
I’ve heard this a lot this year from people who want better health but don’t want another 12 months of one swim a month from their membership.
I am not anti-gym. I am completely pro anything that people need to get active, feel better and happier.
However the simple fact is that unfortunately, many people don’t keep up at the gym as they don’t know what to do to get the results they want, don’t have the accountability to go often enough and they don’t enjoy it.
And then the membership card gets relegated to the bottom of the gym bag or the back of your wallet and you put off doing something about how you feel because you don’t want to go through the effort of going to a place you don’t like, with people you don’t know to something you’re not sure when will work.
At FastTrack Fit Camp we work our best to alleviate all that.
We let you know that we know that you’ve not been. If you go missing for a bit we’ll contact you after seven days absence – we want to know where you are, because consistency is better than perfection.
When you work out with others, doing the same thing a bond grows. The grunts and groans of group press ups are enough to show that.
We ask you what you want. What your goals are, when do you want to get them by and how committed you are you to achieving them to make sure that we provide you with an exercise, or nutrition or lifestyle solution to solve it.
There’s no time for procrastination here.
It’s all about action 🙂
One of the ways we like people to take action is try new things, find new ways of solving a problem and improving themselves.
We’re hosting an event called An Introduction to Mindful Eating on Sunday 7 February at 10:00 – 11:30 at Bearwood Recreation Ground, Winnersh RG41 5DU.
It’s going to cover our complicated relationships with food, how to work in a different way and how to be successful without deprivation but appreciation for food and how it serves us.

I hope you stay active this month.
If you want to see what we do please join us for our first community event of the year the BIG Blue Family Charity Fit Camp on Sunday at 9am raising money for Alexander Devine Hospice Services. It’s open to all – children too.
Have a super weekend.
