PTM School Day 6

After a week of not being able to attend a Pilates class with Rachel or Sarah I find myself back for an equipment session at the studio on a pretty warm day.
The windows and doors are open and a nice breeze is flowing through which is really nice and not stuffy or oppressive like some exercise venues.
The studio was quiet today, there was no mat class or 1-2-1 training going on whilst I was there and so there were just 3 of us and Emma (not seen Emma before!) for an equipment class so it was quiet and no one else for me to be distracted by when things get tough.
We used the foot corrector again to start the session (feet felt lovely afterwards), then we did some work on the Cadillac which had been adjusted for us to lie back on with our shoulders against some pads and feet on a bar at the front. As always there are many things to think about and do before we even move. ‘Wrap thighs open, draw up into sitting bones, lengthen away’ — I am so busy considering all these things that I forget to do anything!
Luckily for us there are limited technicalities with Emma. She warned us that many descriptions were ‘thingy’ or ‘jobby’ — this suits me down to the ground, I can cope with words that complicated.
As there was no one else around in the studio we moved from the Cadillac to the Chair and also to the mats today. A full circuit of the facility almost — missing the ever present pink stability balls and some tall piece of equipment that I’ve not used yet that looks a bit like an old fashioned stretching machine.
