You are not a number.
You are not defined by the single moment in which you look down at your scales.You can move them around the bathroom to avoid the mat.
You can sway to and fro to get the best reading.
You can take your shoes off, your clothes off or not have anything to eat or drink.
But it still is JUST a number.
You are the same generous, hard-working, beautiful person who works hard for a living and cares for your family and friends as you were two seconds before you checked your weight.
You are charitable and sociable and loving and generous and people like you for who you are and how you make them feel and they don’t know that you weigh 1lb less today than you did last night before you went to bed and nor should you.
Why should what you weigh make you grumpy with your children, your partner, your work colleagues, your clients?
Why should what you weigh mean that you can’t have lunch with the team or have to drink meal replacement shakes all week?
Why should what you weigh be so important that you’ll forgo food in the week so that you can eat at the weekend?
Learn to know great health by how you feel, how your clothes hang and how happy you are. Whether you sleep well at night, have glowing skin and energy all day.
Change “I need to lose weight!” to “I’m getting in shape”.
Choose to be happy for who you are and how you feel, not for what you weigh and the number on the damn scale.
It’s a number.
You are worth so much more than that.
