I took myself by surprise today. I found myself recounting an incident to my husband and before I knew it I was in tears.
I was surprised by the emotion behind it and also for the realisation about how strongly I felt about this topic.
I can’t really share with you the full details, however the tears were about how strongly I feel about food being your medicine or your poison.
They were about how absolutely passionately I feel that if you are ill you have a duty of care to yourself to make sure you are in the best possible place health wise so the health professionals can do their best work with you.
They were about how changing what you eat will completely change your life, your moods, your weight, your chance of surviving a serious disease and reduce the risk of you even getting it in the first place.
I know many of you come to Fit Camp to exercise and move about, that’s brilliant and I endorse it heartily. However we eat at least 2-3 times a day, we don’t exercise that often. Consistent poor food choices will not be negated by some modest exercise a few times a week. Our long term health and wellness is primarily determined by what we eat.
Give it your best shot by prior planning. Don’t leave it until you have to make a change.
I heard a great quote this week on an audiobook it said “do now, what you’d do if the worst happened”
