It’s been a week of small wins.
It would be easy to dismiss small wins as nothing much to get excited about, but you need a supply of small wins to get the big ones!
- I’ve started a 30 day ‘Run A Mile A Day’ challenge. I don’t like running, I have a short attention span and so something short and quick ticks those boxes. I’ve done six days already and have got a bit faster already. Small wins to achieve the goal of 30 consecutive days.
- In the space of the last week I have received the edited manuscript for my book and sent it back. I have also received the cover concepts for the book and approved those. Small necessary wins to get the big prize of the book in print!
- I have a client who has had to remove her ring for fear of it falling off her finger because her Metabolic Balance programme is working each week for her. A small reminder that it’s not just the scales that give us progress reports!
- I heard through the grapevine this week how a returning camper to our session on Sunday felt so energised and full of beans after it, it’s renewed her enthusiasm to keep going and feel like that more often. Sometimes a break away makes you realise what you had, a small win to remind us what’s good for us is a friendly kick up the proverbial!
I think it’s good to recognise when things are going well. Even if it’s really slowly! Recognising a little milestone helps keep you focused and looking ahead, especially in the summer months when consistency can be interrupted by time out, holidays and social events.
Notch up the small wins and see how far you’ve come!
Have a great weekend — and if you fancy joining us this Sunday at 9am, we’re hosting our July Family Charity Fit Camp for Sport in Mind. All welcome, kiddies too and all money goes to the charity. See you at Bearwood Recreation Ground, Winnersh RG41 5DU for a 9am start.
